The height of the Christmas beauty of Turkmenistan was fixed at 43 meters. The Christmas tree was the highest among the CIS countries. This was reported by Orient news with reference to Turstat portal, which presented the rating of Christmas trees among the Commonwealth of Independent States.
In second place is a 37-meter-high Christmas tree in Yerevan, followed by a 35-meter-high fir tree in Tashkent.
The main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan was installed in the capital of Turkmenistan on the square near the Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center. In accordance with the established New Year's tradition, on December 15, the lights on the tree were lit, symbolizing the approach of the holidays.
In the top-5 ranking presented by Turstat portal were also green beauties from Baku with the height of 34 meters and Dushanbe with the height of 30 meters. The Russian spruce with the height of 27 meters, installed on Sobornaya Square, was among the ten tallest Christmas trees in the CIS.
