Today the governors of the border administrative units of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan held talks online. The participants in the Turkmen-Afghan talks at the level of state regions were the leaders of Lebap and Mary provinces of Turkmenistan, the provinces of Afghanistan Badghis, Herat, Jawzjan and Faryab.
The leaders of the regions adjacent to the border discussed the details of the implementation of TAPI, TAP Transmission Line, Turgundi-Herat railroad, and khokimlik partnership plans. They also considered interaction in economic, trade and cultural sectors.
Delegates from Afghanistan voiced a proposal to open a representative office of the Afghan Bank and Health Houses in the border regions of Turkmenistan, to build schools, warehouses, sporting events and a dried fruit fair.
