On April 4, S. Sultanmammedov, a UN expert in paperless trade facilitation, met with officials from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. The subject of the dialogue was the conversion of customs procedures and operations to a paperless procedure, as well as the transition to a "Single Window" system.
Representatives of customs authorities reported that the ASYCUDA World electronic customs declaration system is now fully integrated and used. The system has already proven its efficiency and security, and is now successfully used in the customs offices of 90 different countries.
The attention of the UN expert was focused on the implementation of the ASYCUDA World "Single Window" system. This project is planned to be completed by 2023.
