On April 17, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a media forum, the main topic of which was the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. The event was attended by representatives of departments and ministries, the media, including foreign ones, as well as foreign political scientists.
The guests from other countries were provided with information on key moments that took place during 25 years of neutrality, its main principles, which determine political position of Turkmenistan. According to speakers, Turkmenistan's status in the international community is based on humanism and aspiration to solve issues in a peaceful way. A video clip showing the main achievements of the country in 25 years was also demonstrated to the audience.
As participants of the forum noted, citizens of Turkmenistan consider neutrality as a guarantee of stable growth and social equality. For international partners this status means reliability, equality and respect in cooperation.
Guests from foreign countries were invited to attend an international level conference on neutrality policy to be held in the capital of Turkmenistan in December.
