The Russian State Children's Library invites visitors to get acquainted with the culture of Turkmenistan within the framework of the project "Discovering Countries" on April 6. This is reported by the Orient online edition.
The library's website provides information about the program, which will include a reading of poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi, a master class on weaving aladja amulets, and a concert of music and dance groups. The audience will be able to listen to piano compositions by Turkmen composers and Sergei Rakhmaninov, see the traditional Kushtdepdi dance and listen to Turkmen songs.
Writer Nelya Bazarova will read out her work "Leyla and Tahir's Vacation". In the past, Nelya Bazarova was a sound engineer and worked with Turkmen film director Usman Saparov and composer Nury Khalmamedov.
