At a press conference held on June 11 in the Russian embassy, Alexander Blokhin paid attention to interstate cooperation, which, according to him, has "strategic partnership" status.
The diplomat stressed the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the entire global community. At the same time, Russia and Turkmenistan were able to overcome this situation with minimal losses.
According to the Russian Ambassador, trade turnover between the countries has increased by 40%, the Turkmen side is actively cooperating with Russian partners - KAMAZ, Tatneft, Lukoil and others. In addition, Turkmenistan is a reliable supplier of "blue fuel" to the Russian Federation. In the near future, it is expected to intensify cooperation in the cultural sphere, in particular, between Turkmenistan and St. Petersburg.
The diplomat noted the effective work of the Turkmen authorities in providing the population with Russian vaccines against COVID-19.
Media representatives congratulated Alexander Blokhin on his 10th anniversary as Russian Ambassador and wished him success in the development of Turkmen-Russian relations.
