Avaza, August 7 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Vice President of the Republic of Gambia Mohammed Jallow, who arrived in the country to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The head of Turkmenistan thanked the distinguished guest for participation in the international forum and stressed that the event would contribute to the implementation of the Avaza Action Program. The Vice President of Gambia, in turn, noted the important role of the Avaza National Tourist Zone as a center for holding major international events.
During the talks, President Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to develop political, diplomatic, trade and economic relations with the Republic of Gambia. The sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in energy, chemical industry, agriculture, healthcare and education.
Special attention was paid to the importance of humanitarian ties for strengthening interstate contacts and mutual enrichment of cultures. Mohammed Jallov expressed Gambia's interest in developing educational cooperation with Turkmenistan.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue cooperation within the framework of global initiatives.
