Putin awarded the head of the Turkmen violin ensemble with the Pushkin Medal

Harold Neymark, artistic director of the children's violin ensemble "Mukam" of the special music boarding school at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mali Kuliyeva, has been awarded the Pushkin Medal by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The award was given to Neimark "for his great contribution to the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of the cultures of the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan.

The People's Artist of Turkmenistan, Honored Art Worker, was presented with the award by Russian Ambassador Alexander Blokhin before a concert of the Ural State Dance Ensemble today, Vatan newscast of Turkmen television reported.

Neumark thanked him for the award and noted that today is one of those days that stays in the memory for a long time.

«В эти два дня совпали два неимоверных события. Вчера наш уважаемый президент наградил нас государственной премией «Алтын асыр», коллектив мой и меня – вместе. А сегодня – президент России награждает меня медалью», – сказал он.
