President Serdar Berdymukhamedov has appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Austria Hemra Amannazarov as the country's permanent representative to the UN Office and other international organizations in Vienna. A decree to this effect was published on the website of the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.
In accordance with the document, the diplomat was appointed permanent representative of Turkmenistan to the UN headquarters in Vienna, permanent representative of Turkmenistan to the UN for industrial development, head of Turkmenistan's delegation to OSCE, representative to the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization and permanent representative of Turkmenistan to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Hemra Amannazarov has been ambassador of Turkmenistan to Austria since July 2022. Before that, he was the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in the UAE.
