Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On January 10, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where various issues of the country's life were discussed, TDH reports.

During the meeting, Chairperson of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing work on the drafts of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan in the new edition and the Law of Turkmenistan "On the Unified State Register of Voters".

Also the Chairperson of Mejlis noted that in order to legally regulate the issues related to the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, improvement of the activity of judicial bodies, rules of administrative procedures, it is planned to make appropriate amendments and additions to a number of existing codes and other legislative acts.

Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. H. Geldimiradov reported on the measures taken to conduct statistical reporting in accordance with the improved version of the System of National Accounts.

As part of the transition to this updated version, new methodologies related to a number of government classifiers, financial, banking and insurance activities, science and tourism, as well as calculations of consumption of fixed assets have been developed and implemented.

Having approved the proposals on statistical reporting based on the improved form of the System of National Accounts, the head of state instructed the deputy prime minister to continue working in this direction.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov informed about the ongoing work on the oil wells of the State Concern "Türkmennebit" on the reconstruction and construction of new facilities used in oil production. As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, along with this, the branch structures of the oil and gas complex take necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted operation of production facilities, wide introduction of modern methods and technologies in the work.

In this regard, a proposal has been submitted to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his consideration.

Summarizing the report, the head of state stressed the importance of increasing oil production volumes, improving the industry infrastructure, wide introduction of advanced technologies into production. Supporting the prepared proposal, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out relevant work.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the situation in the agricultural sector, in particular, on the ongoing seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country.

Deputy Prime Minister also reported on measures taken to improve water supply and ameliorative condition of agricultural lands in the country.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Annamammedov reported on the results of work on preparation of the plan of construction of objects to be commissioned in the capital and velayats in 2025, held under the motto "International Year of Peace and Trust".

Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on the measures taken to modernize the enterprises of the domestic textile industry and improve their management system.

As reported, work is underway to improve the efficiency of production capacity of cotton spinning and ginning mills in the country.

In this regard, a proposal has been submitted to the Head of State for his consideration.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov supported the prepared proposal to improve the management system of specialized enterprises and strengthen the infrastructure of the industry and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out relevant work in this direction.

Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova made a report on the work related to the replenishment of valuable exhibits in the museum funds of the country.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on preparations for the II International Olympiad in Mathematics among schoolchildren to be held in April this year in Ashgabat.

It is expected that talented young people from secondary schools of a number of foreign countries will take part in this intellectual competition along with schoolchildren of Turkmenistan.

In this regard, a proposal has been submitted to the Head of State for his consideration.

Supporting the proposal to hold the II International Mathematics Olympiad among schoolchildren in Ashgabat, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure proper preparation for this important intellectual competition and hold it at a high level.

Then the floor was given to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov, who reported on the draft Work Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 2025.

Having approved the Working Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 2025, the Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to carry out relevant work.

Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the progress of work in the subordinate structures, in particular, on the activities carried out by the agency "Türkmenawtoulaglary" to further strengthen the material and technical base, to ensure a high level of services provided to passengers, as well as to improve the quality and culture of the intracity bus system.

As noted, on the occasion of the glorious 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the Fatherland, it is planned to purchase modernized intra-city buses this year.

In this regard, a draft of the relevant Decision was submitted to the Head of State for consideration.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuous improvement of passenger transportation in the country, and in order to increase the volume and further improve the quality of passenger transportation services, he signed a decree on the purchase of modern buses.

Addressing the members of the Government, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that large-scale reforms are being successfully implemented in the Fatherland for the welfare of the people.

As it was emphasized, the power of our sovereign state is demonstrated by the city of Arkadag, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Today, this modern smart city has created the most favorable conditions for living, working and cultural leisure of the population.

The meeting also considered a number of other issues of state life, on which relevant decisions were made.
