Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov signed laws on amendments to the Law "On State Pension Insurance" (from 31.03.2012) and the Labor Code (from 18.04.2009).
- Part 5 of Article 7 defines five categories of persons who are exempt from compulsory pension insurance. These are citizens who have been assigned pensions (old age, seniority, disability, occupational pensions) and state social benefits.
- Part 1 of Article 20 determines the rate of contributions to mandatory pension insurance for individuals-entrepreneurs. It will be no less than 10% of the minimum wage.
- Article 6 of the Labor Code has been supplemented with a norm defining the cases in which an employee is paid wages without performing his job duties. This refers to situations that are independent of the will of the parties.
The amendments regarding pension insurance will be applied in the current reporting period from July 1.
The new provision of the Labor Code applies to circumstances that arose after March 1 of this year.
