Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Serdar Berdymukhamedov discussed the resumption of air communication between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in the course of negotiations. This is reported by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
At a press conference following the talks, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the governments of the two countries have been instructed to begin addressing this issue.
Tokayev also proposed introducing a simplified visa regime for business trips of citizens of the two countries to further stimulate business activity.
Recall that flights from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan, as well as to other countries, were suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic coronavirus.
Currently, Turkmenistan Airlines has established regular flights to such destinations as Dubai, Kazan, Moscow, Frankfurt, Istanbul and Minsk.
