According to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee, trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in January-April 2021 reached $166.9 million, Turkmenistan delivered its own goods to the neighboring state for a total amount of $130.5 million and Turkmenistan imported Uzbek products for $36.5 million.
According to the results of the first four months of this year, a decline in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan compared with the same time period of the previous year by 3.5% (or $378.8 million) - in January-April 2021 it was $10.32 billion.
The largest volume of trade turnover for the aforementioned time period was observed between Uzbekistan and China, exceeding $2.1 billion, with imports prevailing over exports - $1.48 billion vs. $642 million.
Other key partners of Uzbekistan during this period were the Russian Federation (over $1.8 billion), Kazakhstan (over $1.2 billion), Turkey ($956.2 million), Korea ($495.1 million), Kyrgyzstan ($250 million), Afghanistan ($234.6 million), Germany ($201.8 million), Ukraine ($181.1 million).
According to the results of 2020, the Turkmen-Uzbek trade turnover reached $527 million.
