Turkmenistan shows growth in the chemical industry

Economic observer on Turkmenistan V. Trapeznikov in an interview with the online radio "Voice-CIS" noted the rapid growth of the chemical industry of Turkmenistan. In Turkmenistan, 4 large enterprises in the chemical industry were launched within a minimum period: "Marykarbamid", "Garabogazkaarbamid", Garlyk mine for production of potash fertilizers and a shop for production of sulfuric acid at the Turkmenabat chemical plant. Setting the production of fertilizers enabled the company to increase output: in the first half of this year, "Turkmenhimiya" over-fulfilled the plan by 22.11 tons.

Polymer production at TKNPZ contributes to the positive dynamics of the industry. Polypropylene from Turkmenistan is exported to many countries, including Russia, China and Turkey.

The expert highlighted the launch of a unique complex in Kiyanly village (Balkan region) with a production capacity of 386 thousand tons of polyethylene. The introduction of new facilities made it possible to increase the output of these products by 2.7 times compared to 2019.
