At the regular meeting of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission the key issues of economic partnership were discussed.
The leaders of the negotiation process (Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan R. Meredov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister A. Overchuk) noted successful progress in all areas of bilateral cooperation. Among the active areas of interaction in the economic sphere were highlighted: industry, transport, finance, digital technologies and other sectors. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the countries also demonstrate effective cooperation on health issues.
In the course of the online meeting, topics of cooperation in various fields were discussed, with an emphasis on the growth of commodity turnover between the countries, activation of investment activities and increased exchange of contacts between businessmen. They also discussed issues of legal support for Turkmen-Russian relations.
A bilateral document was signed as a result of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
