In accordance with the contract dated August of this year, the Turkmen railway company Demiryollary received 5 mainline freight diesel locomotives from Bryansk Machine-Building Plant, a part of Transmashholding. The Turkmen railway operator has already purchased products of the plant before - one locomotive was purchased in 2021, which proved to be excellent.
The representatives of Demiryollary noted the high quality and reliability of Bryansk equipment. The railway operator intends to continue cooperation with BMZ and is interested in further developments of the Russian company. Long-term plans include the purchase of new vehicles.
The 2TE25KM freight locomotive is perfectly suited for transportation of large-sized cargoes on non-electrified railroad lines of 1520 mm gauge. The Bryansk plant has been producing vehicles of this series since 2014.
