The Turkmen leader proposed to start discussing mechanisms for establishing a hydrogen energy program within the framework of the United Nations as early as 2026. The head of state emphasized Turkmenistan's readiness to actively participate in the development of hydrogen energy and expansion of international cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of compliance with international environmental standards and climate agreements by all participants in the energy system - producers, transit countries and consumers of energy resources.
During the speech, the Turkmen leader also recalled the earlier initiative to form a global framework program for transition to a circular economy. Turkmenistan seeks to create a production model that will contribute to the preservation of the environment.
The third UN conference on landlocked developing countries is being held in Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 4 to 8 this year.
