On November 23-24, a virtual Afghanistan Development Assistance Forum. The conference is held every four years, and this time representatives from more than one hundred countries, including global organizations. The position of our country was presented by Deputy Prime Minister R. Meredov.
On the second day of the online forum, a plenary session was held with the participation of foreign policy leaders (including Russia, Iran, and the United States), as well as representatives of the United Nations and the European Union. The parties discussed The work strategy for 2021-2024. with an emphasis on political and financial mechanism to support the development of Afghanistan.
Speaking, The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry stressed the active participation of our country in ensuring Afghanistan's stable development. Practical steps are being taken to that end. work on security issues, economic projects and social programs are implemented. This involves the expansion of infrastructure (the TAPI gas pipeline, power lines and fiber-optic cables along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route, and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan railroad line). In addition, in 2020-2022, Turkmenistan is implementing a program of humanitarian support, including the training of Afghan students and the construction of social facilities.
