Ten judokas from Turkmenistan will take part in the Portuguese Grand Prix, which will be held in Almada from 27 to 29 January. This is reported on the website of the International Judo Federation.
Hakberdy Dzhumaev and Aibek Omirov will compete in the men's 60-kilogram weight class, Serdar Rakhimov and Hakim Agamamedov in the 66-kilogram class, Parahat Nazarov in the 73-kilogram class and Shatlyk Seyitmuradov in the 81-kilogram class. In women's competitions, Turkmenistan will be represented by Aksoltan Hojageldiyeva (48 kg), Kurbanay Kurbanova (48 kg), Maisa Pardayeva (5 kg) and Zulkhumar Dashkinova (63 kg).
The competition in the Portuguese Grand Prix will be very serious, with 452 athletes from 68 countries.
The competition will be an opportunity for Turkmen athletes to earn the points they need to qualify for the Olympics.
