The harvest is coming to an end in Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdymukhamedov discussed with regional leaders and Deputy Prime Minister for the Agricultural Complex Annageldi Yazmyradov topical issues in the field of agriculture.
The President listened to the reports of regional leaders on the pace of economic activity and the sowing of winter crops. The meeting also discussed the cotton harvest, the efficiency of farmers' use of machinery in the fields and other issues. Rice is being harvested in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats. Sugar beet growers of Mary region are still harvesting.
Serdar Berdymukhamedov pointed to the importance of controlling the provision of the Turkmen market with the fruits of agrarians - vegetables and crop products.
Turkmenistan plans to celebrate the harvest festival, which crowns the fall harvest season. The events will include awards for agricultural specialists, concerts, exhibitions, and other festivities.
