The highest Christmas tree in the CIS is in the capital of Turkmenistan

The main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan turned out to be The highest not only in the CAbut also in the Commonwealth of Independent States. This is not the first time Ashgabat's beauty has become the tallest in the Commonwealth.

The top five "tallest" spruces in the Commonwealth are as follows:

  • Ashgabat - 41 m;
  • Tashkent (Uzbekistan) - 36 m;
  • Minsk (Belarus) - 30 m;
  • Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) - 25 m;
  • Moscow (Russian Federation) - 25 m.

It is worth noting that the main Christmas tree of the Russian Federation is a natural fir tree installed on Sobornaya Square of the Moscow Kremlin. Republican and regional centers of the Russian Federation are decorated with artificial Christmas trees, the most significant of them (55 m) - in the city of Krasnoyarsk.
