The meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan will be held on September 25

The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree "On organizing a meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty (of the People's Council - ed.) of Turkmenistan" and decided to hold a meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan on September 25, 2020 at the Ruhyet Palace in the capital. Also, it was instructed to create an organizing committee to hold a high-level meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty and approve its composition. The People's Councils of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat should submit the list of elected members from the velayats and the city of Ashgabat to the Office of the President of Turkmenistan by September 1, 2020.

It should be reminded that in the upcoming council of Halk Maslakhaty it is planned to adopt the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan "On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan". According to this Law, the upcoming meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty will be the last in the current form, as the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan terminates its activity from the day of enactment of this Constitutional Law.
