May 24-25 declared as non-working days - Presidential Decree

President Berdymukhamedov, at today's online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, signed a decree postponing the day off on the occasion of the traditional Muslim holiday of Oraza Bayram.

In connection with the fact that this year Horeza Bayram falls on a Sunday, as well as in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, the head of state shifted the holiday from May 24 to May 25, 2020 (Monday), the press service of the President of Turkmenistan reported.

The decision was made "in order to create favorable conditions for the solemn celebration of Eid al-Fitr and good holiday for our country's population," the decree reads.

The document prescribes "all institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, to ensure the implementation of this Decree.
