Ashgabat, October 9, /Arzuw NEWS/. The 22nd Central Asia Media Conference (CAMC2020), organized annually by the office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, was held in an online format on October 7-9 this year.
The main theme of this year's conference, "Strengthening Media Diversity and Pluralism in Central Asia," included three plenary sessions that provided participants with the opportunity to exchange views and best practices on topical issues.
This year's event brought together participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia, representing the governments of these countries, the media, journalist associations, civil society, and academia.
The participants also included representatives of private and state media from Turkmenistan. For example, the editor-in-chief of Arzuw.news spoke about the role of digital media in Turkmenistan and the impact of the global pandemic on the media.
