Turkmenistan's National Museum of Wildlife, better known as the Ashgabat Zoo, has reopened to the public. This is reported by the online edition of Orient.
The Metropolitan Zoo will be open daily, except Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The popular children's recreation spot, located in the neighborhood Gökdere, в получасе езды от Ашхабада, можно добраться на собственном авто, на городском такси, а также на общественном транспорте, маршрут №45, отправной точкой которого является рынок “Теке базары” в центре столицы.
Located on a vast area of almost 40 hectares, Ashgabat Zoo contains more than 250 species of animals, including those listed in the Red Book.
Earlier, the zoo was temporarily closed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
