A Kazakh business mission visited Turkmenistan with a six-day visit in early October this year. This is reported in social networks of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan.

Following the visit of the delegation, which included representatives of 30 Kazakhstani companies, preliminary contracts for 3 million dollars were signed.

Priority areas of bilateral trade and economic cooperation were identified as transit and logistics, chemical industry, agriculture and investment. Kazakhstan expressed interest in using the transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan. It was noted that the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railroad linking East Asia with the Persian Gulf countries offers great prospects.

Turkmenistan, in turn, expressed readiness to create the necessary conditions for the transit of Kazakh cargo through the country.
