At yesterday's government meeting the decision to introduce restrictive measures concerning tourist recreation and bathing in the tourist zone Avaza was approved. The head of Turkmenistan stressed that it must be done to prevent the emergence and spread of COVID-19 among the Turkmen population.
Given the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, recommendations on the introduction of certain bans were made following the work of the emergency commission to combat COVID-19.
According to the decision of the Turkmen authorities, there will be temporary restrictions on tourism, bathing in the Caspian Sea, cultural events on the territory of Avaza during the summer period.
The COVID-19 counteraction program was developed by the government based on the recommendations of the WHO and other international organizations. Recall that to date no COVID-19 infected people have been identified in the country.
