A new oil loading berth will appear at TKNPZ in Turkmenistan

As Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shahim Abdrakhmanov, supervising fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan, informed during the government meeting in Turkmenbashi, the Kenar oil products storage and loading unit of TKNPZ will receive one more - third oil loading berth.

Sh. Abdrakhmanov informed about the international tender for the implementation of the project, which requires deepening the shelf bottom of the Caspian Sea. The expected deadline for putting the oil loading berth into operation is thirty months from the date of signing a contract with the contractor.

At the moment TKNPZ has two oil loading berths operated by oil tankers. The berths were built in 1965 and 1966. After commissioning of the third berth, the first two will undergo major repairs.

We would also like to remind you that at Thursday's International Oil and Gas Investment Forum TCNPZ general director urged to invest in deep processing of hydrocarbons.
