Russian company modernizes monument to Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli in Ashgabat

Experts from the Russian company Vozrozhdeniye will modernize the 60-meter high monument to Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli in Ashgabat on a free-of-charge basis.

According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdymukhamedov signed a decree authorizing the administration of Ashgabat to sign a contract with the company to upgrade the new monument to the classicist and improve the surrounding area at its own expense.

The work will begin in September this year and should be completed in May 2024, the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and humanist of the East.

The Russian company "Vozrozhdenie" has been operating in Turkmenistan for more than 10 years. The company has built and commissioned more than 20 infrastructure facilities, including more than 50 km of first category roads and 18 road interchanges and bridges.
The company's specialists are currently constructing mudflow structures in the southern part of Ashgabat.

A giant monument to the Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi is also located there, not far from the Path of Health, on a natural hill.
