Turkmenistan and Georgia develop inter-parliamentary cooperation

On November 6 this year, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Georgia D. Seyitmammedov met with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Sh. Seyitmammedov met with Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Sh. Papuashvili. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the interaction between the parliaments of the two states was named a priority area of interstate cooperation. The sides also noted the broad prospects for cooperation between the countries in trade and economic, transport and communication, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

It was emphasized that parliamentary diplomacy plays a special role in the political and diplomatic sphere. In this regard, the sides noted the need to activate the activity of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups. Organizational issues of the visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia to Turkmenistan were discussed during the meeting.
