The 6th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese trade and economic cooperation subcommittee of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission was held in the video format. Turkmenistan was represented by delegates led by Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Affairs K.Kurbanov and the Chinese side was headed by Deputy Minister of Commerce Yu Jianhua. The deputy ministers discussed priority mutually beneficial issues of strategic cooperation between the two countries in transport, trade, energy, construction, chemical, agricultural, textile, communication, IT and digital distribution sectors.
Participants in the talks noted the need to increase trade turnover by unlocking the significant potential of the partnership between the two countries.
Representatives of Turkmenistan and China exchanged views on overcoming the situation caused by COVID-19 in the world: the parties noted the urgent need to consolidate efforts of the global community to overcome the crisis.
