Turkmenistan and Mali agree to expand cooperation

President of Turkmenistan meets with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali

Avaza, August 7 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Mali Abdoulaye Maiga, during which the parties discussed prospects for the development of bilateral partnership in various areas. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The meeting took place within the framework of the Malian prime minister's participation in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, organized under the motto "Promoting Progress through Partnerships".

Abdoulaye Maiga noted the importance of the conference and emphasized that participation in the forum opens new opportunities for Mali in the field of sustainable development.

The Turkmen leader reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to expand cooperation with the Republic of Mali in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

During the talks, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects in the field of innovations in agriculture, efficient water resources management, education and personnel training. The parties also noted the prospects of experience exchange in the spheres of economy, energy, health care and science.

Special attention was paid to the development of cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries and the organization of joint events in the field of culture and art.

At the end of the meeting the sides expressed confidence in further strengthening of interstate relations and exchanged wishes for success in state activity.
