Turkmenistan was the first country in Central Asia to approve the Russian vaccine Sputnik V

Turkmenistan has joined the list of more than 10 states that have approved the Russian anti-COVID-19 development Sputnik V. On January 18, it was registered and successfully certified by the Turkmen Ministry of Health.

As informed the general director of the Rosfond of direct investments K. Dmitriev, Turkmenistan became the first country in the Central Asian region to officially approve the use of the Sputnik V vaccine. Efficiency and safety of the drug as one of the advanced ways to counteract COVID-19 is recognized by the partners of the Foundation. According to K. Dmitriev, the vaccine was developed on the basis of a proven platform of human adenovirus vectors, which makes it possible to use it as a preventive agent against the spread of the virus.
