The heads of relevant departments and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran discussed the creation of the new railway route during the talks.
As a result of the project, it is planned to establish container transportation through the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas. The introduction of the new logistics scheme will accelerate the transportation time from China, India and SEA countries from 45 days to 21 days. To confirm the feasibility of using the route, Kyrgyz partners were invited to conduct a test delivery of imported goods.
Turkmenistan actively participates in the creation of international transport corridors. For example, in 2014, the opening of the railroad that enabled the China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran route, which provides fast transport of goods from China, began to function.
