A two-day international scientific-practical conference on the application of innovative technologies in the production process was held in the capital of Turkmenistan. The event, held in a hybrid format, was organized by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education of the country.
The main purpose of the forum is to demonstrate the achievements of the Turkmen scientific and educational sphere in the gradual innovative improvement of the country.
The venue for the opening of the conference was the Oguzkhan University of Engineering and Technology. Oguzkhan. The university also hosted an exhibition, where visitors could get acquainted with the scientific works of students and teachers in the field of biomedical technologies, ecology and environmental protection, nanoelectronics and cybersecurity, and other innovative proposals focused on practical applications. The exhibition was also streamed online, which allowed participants from other countries to view its exhibits.
The forum was attended by leaders of the scientific and educational sphere of Turkmenistan, scientists, specialists in various fields, teachers and students of higher educational institutions. The video communication mode allowed the heads and delegates of large scientific institutions and universities from 20 countries to join the conference. This certainly contributed to the formation of partnership in a broad format.
The plenary session featured presentations by Turkmen specialists and eminent scientists from Russia, Italy, Japan, China, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Ethiopia, Palestine and Azerbaijan.
The speakers noted that for three decades of independence Turkmenistan has managed to make a significant leap in the development of technology and science. Fundamental research is carried out in universities and relevant scientific institutions.
The country continues to work purposefully in this direction. Thus, up to 2025, programs have been developed to transfer the scientific sphere of Turkmenistan to the digital system and to develop technology and chemical science.
2020 was important for the Turkmen educational sphere - the time when the Ministry of Education opened the Center for Innovative Information in the country. The key tasks of this formation were to facilitate the implementation of the tasks defined by the Concept of Digital Education.
Turkmenistan is also improving the process of learning foreign languages and the methods of teaching subjects in exact and natural sciences. A step-by-step transition to a 12-year system of education is planned.
The speakers also touched on the application of scientific discoveries made by Turkmen scientists in production, noting the importance of sharing experience with specialized institutions from other countries.
In the second part of the conference, the work was divided into three thematic sections. The Academy of Sciences hosted an event devoted to the innovation economy as a basis for progress. At the Y. Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas they talked about the importance of applying innovative technologies in the oil and gas sphere, and at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics they talked about the role of international cooperation in developing information and communication technologies.
