The best film was awarded at the "Ashkhabad" cinema in the capital "Ashgabat Spring-2021".. The celebration was organized by the Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm Union of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
The cinema building has become a meeting place for representatives of the national secular society, cinematographers, mass media and simply Ashgabat residents who love cinematography.
The competition program included 33 short films. The competent jury headed by the film director V. Ishankuliev determined the winners. The panel of judges also included People's Artists of Turkmenistan - actor N. Allaberdiyev and director I. Bekmiev. Along with them were director B. Mamedov, film director of "Turkmenfilm" Union named after Oguzkhan B. Pamakuliev, cameraman O. Velmuradov and famous writer-dramatist G. Danatarov. The choice they faced was not an easy one.
In the end, the jury and the winner of the grand prize was the film "My Daddy". Jumanepes Charyev, a student of the Institute of Culture, was recognized as the best scriptwriter with his work "Glory to my Fatherland, Ashgabat!
Young Iskander Rejepov won the award as best actor for his performance in the project "Forever Young Ashgabat! Another young talent was Enay Eyberdiyeva, who received an award for her key role in the movie "My Dad.
The best camerawork was "Heroes Will Live in Our Hearts Forever," which was awarded to Khandzhar Sopyev from Ashgabat. Batyr Batyrov of the Turkmenfilm Union named after Oguzkhan received the award for best director with his short film "Melody.
The audience gave their sympathy to the work of the Main Drama Theater titled "Happy Birthday, Ashgabat! A number of contestants, including young cinematographers, also received certificates of merit.
After the ceremony honoring the winners of Ashgabat Spring-2021, the organizers of the event and its participants talked to the media. They not only shared their impressions of the event, but also described how the contest entries had been created.
