R. Mistakhov, head of the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation (Russia, Zelenodolsk), said he was ready to launch production of civilian ships (passenger and cargo ships) in Turkmenistan. The parties had previously reached an agreement to that effect.
Organization of production at Turkmen shipyards was the main condition for cooperation with the Zelenodolsk plant named after Gorky. According to Mistakhov, the Russian side is ready to implement a joint project that includes training, support and control by Ak Bars.
