Fitch Ratings (USA) was approved for Turkmenistan in 2021 credit rating "B+" and "stable prediction.
The experts' assessment is based on the assumption that energy prices and macroeconomic indicators are in line with balanced fiscal and external accounts. In addition, the forecast is based on the stability of the political course after the presidential elections in Turkmenistan in March 2022.
Fitch experts say resumption of Turkmen gas exports и прогнозируют их дальнейший рост. Так, профицит счета текущих операций за 9 мес. прошлого года составил 1% ВВП за счет повышения доходов от реализации углеводородных ресурсов. Активизация в газовой отрасли способствовала росту ВВП Туркменистана (в 2021г. составил 6,2%, тогда как в 2020-м – 5,9%).
