Central Asian tennis championship ended in Ashgabat

On June 9, the closing ceremony of the Central Asian tennis championship among children under 12 years old took place in Ashgabat, as reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Young tennis players from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan competed for medals and tickets to the final stage of the Asian Championship.

According to the results of the tournament among girls, the gold medal was won by the team from Kazakhstan, the second place - the national team of Uzbekistan, the third step of the podium was taken by athletes from Turkmenistan.

Among young men the first place was taken by athletes from Kazakhstan, the second place - by Turkmen tennis players and the third place - by the team of Uzbekistan.

The heads of foreign delegations highly appreciated the level of organization of the tournament and recognized that the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Campus in Ashgabat is worthy to host major tournaments of the Asian Tennis Federation.
