Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Zambia Mulambo Haimbe. The talks took place on June 30.
The foreign ministers of the two countries exchanged views on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations in political, diplomatic, trade and economic areas.
The sides paid special attention to cooperation within the framework of international organizations, primarily the United Nations. The Ministers discussed preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
During the conversation, the active role of the Republic of Zambia in the UN Ministerial Transport Conference for Landlocked Developing Countries was noted. This event was held in Turkmenistan on August 15-16, 2022.
The talks confirmed the interest of both countries in strengthening interaction bilaterally and on international platforms.
