The Foreign Ministry held an international briefing on the work of the two International Associations: the Akhalteke Horse Breeding Association and the Turkmen Alabai.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions, as well as members of global organizations and the media. Foreign guests from Russia, China, Italy, Ukraine, Switzerland, Turkey, Germany, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Georgia joined the discussion via video link.
Opening the briefing, the deputy head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry B. Myatiev noted the extensive work being done to preserve the Turkmen breeds not only within our country, but also at the international level. To this end, Turkmenistan has proposed that the art of seiis and breeding alabais be added to the list of UNESCO ICH sites.
The participants of the meeting noted the key role of the associations in uniting experts, scientists and connoisseurs of the Akhalteke and Alabay breeds. The foreign representatives emphasized the fruitful cooperation with their Turkmen colleagues and the future prospects for the popularization of these breeds.
