Gasoline from Turkmenistan will be exported to states with stringent environmental standards

Gasoline produced in Turkmenistan will be exported to countries with stringent environmental standards. Production of A-98 gasoline has been set up at the Turkmenbashi refinery. The new fuel meets all requirements of the EURO-6 quality standard. It means that it can be supplied to those countries, which have strict ecological laws. This information was presented to the Turkmen leader during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by Shakhym Abdrakhmanov, Vice Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy.

He said that the international laboratory of Saybolt (the Netherlands) handed over certificates of conformity to the refinery. This is a documentary confirmation that the fuel of the new brand complies with environmental requirements K5 and EURO-6 norms, the deputy prime minister emphasized.

The EURO-6 standard regulates the percentage of harmful substances contained in the exhaust gases of motor vehicles in the European Union. If the fuel does not meet these requirements, it is prohibited for use in the EU. EURO-6 is similar in its requirements to the environmental standards of Post NLT (Japan) and EPA10 (USA), in force since 2010. It means that the new eco-friendly gasoline of Turkmen production can be exported to the above-mentioned states. This, in turn, will increase the competitiveness of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan.
