The Turkmen-Korean Business Council held the fourth meeting in the format of a video conference. Among the issues discussed by the representatives of Turkmenistan and Korea were the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of economy and trade.
The interests of Turkmenistan were represented by the heads and delegates of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, State Committee of Water Management, industrial, agricultural and other ministries and departments of the country.
On the Korean side, heads and delegates of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) participated.
Among the issues discussed were opportunities for the development of Turkmen-Korean relations in trade and economy. The sides also discussed ways to expand multilateral cooperation. The sides exchanged views on the most pressing issues on the global agenda.
Much attention was paid to the issues of equal interest to both sides. Cooperation in the energy, industrial and transport spheres was considered separately. Water management issues were also touched upon. The participants of the Business Council discussed the prospects of further activities of Korean companies related to IT technologies and shipbuilding in the territory of Turkmenistan.
