The newspaper "Türkmenistan" celebrates its 100th anniversary

July 29, Ashgabat, /Arzuw NEWS/. Today marks the 100th anniversary of the state newspaper "Türkmenistan", which daily publishes the latest news about Turkmenistan, including political, economic and socio-cultural articles.

The newspaper was first published on July 29, 1920. Originally published once a week in a small format, the paper's materials were prepared in the Arabic alphabet.

Several copies of the newspaper, published in 1920, have been found in the A. Novaia Library of Uzbekistan and in the collections of the Lenin State Library in Moscow. Lenin State Library in Moscow.

In 1925, the editorial board of Türkmenistan published other local newspapers, such as: "Daýhan", "Ýaş Kommunist", "Zähmet" and the magazine "Tokmak".
