A government delegation from Turkmenistan arrived in China

Within the visit of the government delegation of our country to China on May 10 negotiations were held with a member of the State Council of China, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi. On the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister R. Meredov and Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan S. Berdymukhamedov.

The diplomats emphasized the achievements of Turkmen-Chinese interaction in the political sphere and reaffirmed readiness to expand the partnership, which the leaders of the countries - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Xi Jinping - agreed on the previous day. The sides also emphasized that The diplomatic relations, which will be 30 years old in 2022, are built on respect, trust, and mutual benefit.

Representatives of Turkmenistan discussed with the head of the Foreign Ministry of China current issues, in particular those related to global security. In addition, as noted by S. Berdymukhamedov, who heads the Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation, PRC and Turkmenistan are developing partnership in gas, finance and investment, and healthcare. Promising sectors of interaction include communications, trade, transportation, etc.

Members of the Turkmen delegation also held bilateral meetings with their Chinese counterparts.
