During the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan the results of the fuel and energy complex for 5 months of 2021 were considered. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shahim Abdrakhmanov reported to the Head of State. According to the presented data, the plan was overfulfilled in all directions. Thus, gasoline was produced 112.8%, diesel fuel - 100.3%, liquefied gas - 115.5%. Production of natural and associated gas was 1,16%. Exported "blue fuel" - 123,7%. Investments utilized - 117.7%.
Separately, the deputy prime minister focused on the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TKNPZ). He said that the enterprise, which had previously successfully established the production of packaging films with a wall thickness of 20, 25, 30 microns, also organized the production of polypropylene film white pearlescent color. This product is supposed to be used for gift wrapping gifts and packing sweets. The complex will produce 2 thousand tons of the packaging material annually. It will be supplied not only to the home markets, but also exported abroad. The first batch will be sold through the State Commodity Exchange.
Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan pointed out a number of shortcomings in the work of the industry. The Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to establish a closer and more informative communication with the heads of the fuel and energy complex in order to promptly resolve any issues that may arise. In particular, it was instructed to attract foreign investments into the industry and carry out modernization to improve the efficiency of the country's oil and gas complex.
With regard to information about the production of a new type of polypropylene film at TKNPZ, the President noted the need to further diversify the range of products manufactured in Turkmenistan, which would be in demand both in the country and abroad. The rapporteur was also given a number of specific instructions in this direction.
