Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, sent a congratulatory telegram to the president of Turkmenistan. In addition to his New Year greetings and wishes, Dmitry Medvedev stressed that 2021 was marked by a dynamic expansion of strategic cooperation between the two powers, including in the field of security. The advantages of partnership and mutual support became especially convincing in the confrontation with the global challenges of our time, including the global pandemic. The deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation noted the intention of the state to continue working closely with Turkmenistan in bilateral format and international organizations for the good of the nations, peace and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov also received New Year greetings from the President of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, who noted the aspiration to strengthen the friendly and mutually beneficial partnership in the future as well.
In addition, Governor of Astrakhan Igor Babushkin sent a congratulatory message to the President of Turkmenistan. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan and Astrakhan region are close friends, good neighbors and reliable partners. The Astrakhan governor praised the support and participation of the Turkmen leader in the development of mutually beneficial partnership.
