On November 5, 2020, there was an online meeting between representatives of Turkmenistan and an American company Case New Holland. The Turkmen side was represented by the Chairman of the State Committee for Water Resources G. Baydjanov and the head of the Ministry of Finance of the country M. Serdarov, as well as delegates from the above-mentioned departments. Mr. Stewart Campbell, who is responsible for business development in Central Asian region as well as in South and Caucasus, took part in the event from American side. The parties discussed the current state of affairs and current prospects.
As is well known, Turkmenistan pays a great deal of attention to agricultural development. The government of the country consistently implements programs for socio-economic development. Today the agricultural sector, as well as other sectors of the national economy, is undergoing large-scale reforms that affect all levels. It is being digitized and mechanized.
Case New Holland has made and continues to make a significant contribution to the development of the agricultural industry, helping to mechanize and modernize it. The company supplies the latest types of machinery, including combine harvesters for grain and cotton harvesting, tractors for plowing fields etc. In the course of negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects of acquiring Case agricultural machinery designed specifically for the soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of the Turkmen side stressed that the country will continue to modernize and transform the agricultural industry and expressed hope that the partnership with Case New Holland will continue in the future.
