Turkmenistan discussed food security issues with Japan

During the meeting of Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Japan A. Bayramov with Director of the UN World Food Program Office for Relations with Japan Yasuhiro Tsumura on August 9 this year, the topic of Turkmenistan's initiatives for the 78th session of the UNGA was discussed. During the talks, the Turkmen Ambassador informed the Director of the Organization about Turkmenistan's initiatives developed for the 78th session of the UN General Assembly and related to food security.

Turkmenistan's initiatives are aimed at maintaining peace and security at the global level, achieving sustainable development goals, and holding an international forum on food security together with the United Nations.

For his part, Yasuhiro Tsumura expressed support for Turkmenistan's initiatives, noting his readiness to assist in their promotion.
