Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held a meeting on cooperation in the field of rail transport

Bilateral negotiations between the Chairman of the Agency of Railways of Turkmenistan A. Atamuradov and the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC Z. Narzullaev took place in Tashkent. Representatives of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan met in the framework of the 81st meeting of the CIS Railway Transport Council, held in the capital of Uzbekistan from November 5 to 6, 2024.

The meeting addressed topical issues related to the further development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of railway transportation. Attention was paid to plans to increase the volume of freight and passenger traffic, as well as to modernize railway infrastructure and renew the fleet of railcars.
